Ghirardelli is a multi-modal Transportation & Logistics Management company specializing in delivering high-value/high-visibility items to a diverse range of corporate customers.
LDK wanted to further diversify and optimize their core business processes with automation.
They sought to integrate a custom Human Capital Management (HCM) solution within their existing Logistics Management Application that they used to manage services, including asset recovery, packaging & crating, and transportation for telecommunications systems, retail items, kiosks, medical equipment, high-tech computers, and other sensitive materials.
The end result would be a cohesive solution that complements its logistics software while working in conjunction with their internal system rather than as a separate entity.
Styrone’s experience developing and integrating custom logistics management software synergized with backend expertise in the Human Capital Management industry made Styrone well poised to deliver a robust HR Management System to Ghirardelli.
The following employee and organization management features were developed using C#, a multi-paradigm programming language, and the .NET framework, as well as MS SQL Server 2014 to retrieve the data:
LDK was also interested in a sales automation module that would integrate Office 365 to allow the calendar to open automatically by clicking on a single button within the application. Additionally, Ghirardelli asked Styrone to implement a sales management system to oversee sales activities and access sales-related records. Incorporated into this module is a dashboard for real-time data updates of order statuses.
The finished application provides comprehensive employee and HR management, as well as offers significantly increased scalability and flexibility to their existing IT Infrastructure.
The new and improved Logistics Management application allows LDK to scale towards future high-level modifications, including sales process automation and a cost-effective solution for PCI compliance.
